Get the Look: Paula Patton at the SAG Awards

I wanted to avoid any bright pinks or tones that were too rosy with this beautiful J. Mendel dress since it could go bridal if we wen't careful. Pinks would scream bride, and going with a more neutral palette simply looks elegant. I love using rusts and deep bronzes to create depth on eyes. The colors are warm and create shape without getting too muddy or dark. Playing up the highlights with a warm shimmery peach color adds striking luminosity without looking cold or ashy or dull. I skipped the liner all together, just using shadow and lots of mascara, top and bottom. Defining the eyes with shadow alone gives drama and dimension while still keeping it fresh looking, and for me fresh and pretty is always the goal.
